Mary L. Parker

MARY LOU PARKER, 58, passed away Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Kansas City, Kan. she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lula (Brixey) Gilbert. Mary Lou was a credit collector for the Credit Bureau of Fort Wayne for many years and later enjoyed working part time as a parking attendant in downtown Fort Wayne for Light and Breuning. She was a member of Lifeway Wesleyan Church, New Haven and was a big supporter of WBCL. She enjoyed reading, gardening, her cats, and especially loved spoiling her grandkids. She is survived by her husband of 22 years, David W. Parker; daughters, JoAnn (Derrick) Fanning and Carrie (Brian) Buisman both of Fort Wayne; sisters, Linda (Stan) Haywood of Blytheville, Ark. and Betty Ann (Larry) Willis of Mercer, Mo.; grandchildren, Paul Buisman, Emma Buisman and Mason Fanning. She was preceded in death by her sister, Evalee Nordyke. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016, at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Pastor Rick Fletcher officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
