Mary Maxine “Maxie” Schultz, 93, of Huntertown passed away peacefully on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Heritage Park Nursing Home. She was born January 12, 1922 in Fort Wayne to the late Roy and Amelia C. (Dennis) Benton. Mary graduated from North Side High School in 1940 and married Walter F. Schultz in 1941. She worked at Magnavox for many of years before retiring in 1985. She was a lifelong Catholic and member of St. Vincent De Paul Parish. Mary loved her seven children, their families, her country home surrounded by various wildlife, and her many pets. She is survived by daughters, Vicki (Jan) Savitz of Chicago, IL and Connie (Wayne) Beery of Warsaw, IN; sons, David (Laura) Schultz of Fort Wayne, Paul Schultz of Louisiana, and Jerome (Connie) Schultz of Fort Wayne. She was loved by her 7 children, 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her husband and by their daughters, Diane K. Ley of Kansas City, Missouri and Carol Sue Forbes of Syracuse, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am on Friday, February 27, 2015 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 1502 East Wallen Road, Fort Wayne with visitation beginning at 9:30 am. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Visiting Nurse.
