My thoughts and prayers are with Maxine's family. She was a neighbor and good friend to both of my parents, Frank and Phyllis DeKoninck. They shared many fun times with Maxine and Leon. Not sure if you know this story but they often went to the State Fair together. On the way home they would stop at a restaurant and buy a whole pie. They split it four ways and enjoyed a nice sized portion. It became a tradition to do this when they went to the fair. RIP Maxine you were such a sweet person. Prayers for the family. o

I left FW many years ago, moving to Ky. I haven’t been back in a long time and when I did visit there was never enough time to do what needed to be done and what we wanted to do. Maxine was a dear friend to my Mother not only for her sewing skills but she was a beautiful person.. heart, soul and spirit. I remember many visits to her home and cutting up with Leon, also many potluck dinners at Uncle Jr and any Lou’s. Maxine joins many family members, lots of “ loved ones”. While her family and friends mourn her, she’s probably dancing on those streets of gold. Rest In Peace Maxine and tell everyone we said “ hay”. Hugs to her family, she loved .
