MAXINE MELCHING, 96, passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017, at Covington Meadows, Fort Wayne. Born in Jackson Township in Jay County, Ind., Maxine was the daughter of the late Leslie and Nellie Pensinger. During her life, Maxine enjoyed golfing, playing bridge, and spending time with her family. Surviving are her daughters, Diane Melching and Marcia (Philip) Rodenbeck, both of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Lisa (Ken) Weaver and John (Stacy) Rodenbeck; great-grandchil-dren, Katelynn, Brooke, Trevor, Alex, and Nicole; great-great-grandchildren, Isaiah, and Isla; brother, Hubert Pensinger of New Haven; along with many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Melching; great-granddaughter, Kelsey Weaver; and brother, Donn Pensinger. Private cemetery service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
