Mildred L. "Mimi" Anderson

Mildred L. "Mimi" Anderson, age 99, of Fort Wayne passed away October 18, 2023 at Cedar Creek Assisted Living. She was born April 22, 1924 in Fort Wayne to Lena and Earl Smith, both who preceded her in death. In 1942, she married Richard L. Anderson, who preceded her in death in 2012. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, Fort Wayne. She retired in 1982 from Peoples Trust Bank. She spent her winters vacationing in Largo, Florida until 2011. She was a 50+ year member of the Eastern Star, Trinity Chapter #576. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, baking pies, and playing cards. Surviving are her son, James (Sandie) Anderson of Fort Wayne; daughter, Susan (Rex) Pranger of Adams Lake; one grandson, Dillon Pranger; two granddaughters, April Resor and Angie Tacker; three great-granddaughters, Olivia and Bianca Tacker, Avery Resor; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at noon at C.M. Sloan Funeral Home, 1327 Wells Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46808, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am.

Eastern Star Rites will be held at noon. Pastor Bob Herman will officiate. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804, following the service.

In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are to Heartland Hospice, or Grace Presbyterian Church.

Pallbearers include: Daver Anderson, Ron Carner, Corky Spangler, Pete Spangler, Scott Longardner, and Rob Martin.
