Nila J. Shew, 87, of Fort Wayne, passed away Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012 at Renaissance Village. Born Sept. 26, 1924 in Vincennes, IN, she retired as a secretary with General Electric. She was a member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church. Surviving are her husband, Richard D. Shew, of Fort Wayne; step-daughter, Linda Listar, of Sparks, NV and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Juanita Thayer and step-son, William Shew. Funeral Service is 11:00 am Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012 at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton Funeral Home, Wayne St. Chapel, 420 W. Wayne St., with calling two hours prior. Entombment in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
