Norma J. Brown Canfield Fischer, 92 passed on into heaven on December 21, 2022. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN, to Harry Brown and Guleia Finkhouse Brown on September 12, 1930. She married Robert “Gerald” Canfield and they had four children. Gerald died in 1973. She later married Harold Fischer. She was an avid golfer for many years. Norma enjoyed wintering in Stuart, FL and spending her summers in Fort Wayne, IN. Norma was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Barbara (David) Nichter of Alabama; son, Jon (Vicki) Canfield of Fort Wayne, IN; step-son, Jim (Sue) Fisher of Stuart, FL; and numerous grand and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by her parents, son Don Canfield, daughter Jane Canfield, step-son Mike Fischer, step-daughter, Joan Roemke, and sister Charlene Keefer.
A Private Burial will be held May 12, 2023 at Concordia Cemetery Gardens. The Celebration of Life will be Saturday, May 13, 2023 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the Hilton Garden Inn North, 10650 Diebold Road, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
