

Olin “Big O” Madison, 70, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025. Born on May 11, 1954, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to parents Donald Madison and Doris (Russell) Hirshey, Olin was beloved by so many. He would marry the love of his life, Cynthia (Nichols) Madison, on June 6, 1975, and they would go on to create a loving legacy with their children, Silena and Kenneth, that will continue to blossom with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Olin lived a life full of adventure. Whether it was riding his motorcycle down the open road, casting a line into the waters during a fishing trip, or camping under the stars, Olin found joy in the outdoors. One of his favorite hobbies involved trains, finding the large machinery and their history fascinating. Many memories of Olin involved the thrill and laughter spent at the casinos. More than anything, Olin was dedicated to his family. He treasured every moment he spent making memories with those he loved. He was a generous and caring soul who would help anyone in need. His big heart and selflessness touched the lives of so many, from friends and family to even strangers.
Olin is survived by his wife of 49 years, Cynthia N. Madison of Fort Wayne, Indiana; children, Silena J. (Doug) Kester of Kendallville, Indiana and Kenneth W. (Cyrena) Sylvester Jr. of Fort Wayne, Indiana; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Olin is preceded in death by his parents; brother, John E. Madison and sister, Terri L. Madison.
