

Oscar Quintero, Jr. 57, Proclaimed life over death on September 7, 2022 at Sage Bluff Nursing & Rehab, surrounded by his family members who loved him dearly. Oscar was born September 10, 1964 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Oscar and Aurora (Mauricio) Quintero. He grew up in Fort Wayne, and graduated from Southside High School class of 1983. He then attended Indiana Technical Institute receiving his degree in Electronics Engineering. Oscar worked with several employers during his adult life, beginning with Zollner's, FedEx, and Canterbury Green Apartments as a maintenance technician. Oscar will be greatly missed as he was a loving, generous and caring man, with a heart of gold, especially when it came to his family. His laughter was contagious and there was never a dull moment at family gatherings. We thank God for sharing Oscar with us for 57 wonderful years. Oscar is survived by his sisters, Carolina Vasquez, Elena York, Gracie (Doug) Matteson, Maria (Raul) Soto; nieces and nephews, Tino Vasquez, Simon (Ginger) Vasquez, Rosita York, Christa (Josh) Sullinger, Robert York, Cole (Lisette) Matteson, Jesse (Emily) Matteson; and 24 great nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Rosita Quintero. A funeral service will be led at 1pm on Friday, September 16, 2022 at Klaehn, Fahl, & Melton Funeral Home 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46819 with visitation beginning at 11:00am. Burial to follow the service at Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children's Hospital.
