Born on April 17, 1957, in Battle Creek, MI, she was a dedicated and loving mother, wife, and friend. She was a cherished member of the community and a devoted civil servant. Patty dedicated 35 years to the Department of Defense in her hometown of Battle Creek, where her commitment and hard work left a lasting impact. Her passions extended beyond her professional life into her personal interests which included sewing, cross stitch, quilting, bird watching, reveling in the tranquility of nature and of course always eating her vegetables… oops, no we meant always finding joy in chocolate! Patty also found immense joy in spending quality time with her beloved granddaughter, Dekaylee.
She is survived by a loving family: her daughter, Denyel; daughter-in-law, Kate; granddaughter, Dekaylee; son, Jeremy; sister, Sue; and brother, Mike; as well as several nieces, nephews, and all the other kids she claimed even though they weren’t hers by birth.
Patty was preceded in death by her beloved husband Dennis, who we are happy to know they are now reunited; as well as her father Maxwell Harry and mother Barbara.
Patty's life and legacy will be honored in a celebration that reflects her love for nature, the simple joys she cherished, and her bright, never-knew-a-stranger personality. Her warmth and spirit will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her.
