Patrick "Pat" McCartney

Mishawaka, Indiana to William “Jim” and Mary Ellen (Fritz) McCartney. Pat was a 1966 graduate of South Bend Central High School and a member of the Masonic Lodge Chapter 170. He was proud to provide a living by driving a Commercial Motor Vehicle for 53 years. In his free time he enjoyed playing cribbage, cards, shooting trap, fishing, and hunting with friends and family. Pat will always be remembered by his exuberant laugh. He was honored to be a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Roxanna (Bell-Henry) McCartney; mother, Mary Ellen McCartney of Fort Wayne, IN.; brother, Calvin (Cindy) McCartney of New Haven, IN.; children, Kenneth (Kim) McCartney of Fort Wayne, IN., Dawn (Jim) Hess of Fishers, IN.; five grandchildren, Tanner McCartney of Fort Wayne, IN., Alyssa (Ethan) Dove of Westfield, IN., Lauren McCartney of New Smyrna, FL., Kami Hess of McCordsville, IN. and Morgan (Jeremiah) Pedroza of Ossian, IN.; he is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, Vincent, Delilah, Amelia, Keller, Beckham, Brantley and Remi. A Masonic service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Klaehn, Fahl, & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46819, with visitation from noon to 2:00 pm. In lieu of sending flowers, contributions can be made to the Masonic Lodge Chapter 170 in honor of Pat’s memory.
