Peggy S Scherer

PEGGY S. SCHERER, 76, passed away Friday, April 7, 2017 at Visiting Nurse in Fort Wayne. Born in Hartford City, Ind., Peggy was the daughter of the late Charles and Marie Wilcox on. She graduated from Jefferson High School and Parkview School of Nursing. Peggy was a registered nurse with several organizations during her 35-year career. She was a member of Lake George Lutheran Chapel. Peggy enjoyed cooking, sewing, fishing, painting, animals, and spending time with her family at her lake home on Silver Lake. She loved her family and cherished her grandchildren. Surviving are her daughter, Jennifer (Tom) Moberg of Fort Wayne; son, Todd Scherer of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Nathan Moberg. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Scherer, and brother, Roger WIlcoxon. Service is 11 a.m. Thursday, April 13, 2017 at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road with calling one hour prior. Rev. David A. Easterday officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Lake George Lutheran Chapel.
