

Pete was a dedicated mechanic known for his unconventional and original craftsmanship. His resourcefulness and passion brought a spark to those around him, and he always had a helping hand ready for anyone in need. Above all, he cherished his family deeply; his quiet strength and unwavering support were a source of comfort and love that meant the world to them.
He is survived by his daughter, Genifer May of Huntsville, AL; stepdaughter, Tammy (Roger) Fisher; stepson, Michael (Jason) Walda; sisters, Terry (Steve McDevitt) Becht and Marilyn (Gerald) Nuttle; brother, David May; grandchildren, Theodore Fisher and Maxine Sotomayor; great-grandchildren, Alex and Austin; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Colman and Geneva May; first wife, Karen May; second wife Mary May; and sister, Ruth Boil.
Funeral Service will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral Homes - Lakeside Park, 1140 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne IN, with visitation two hours prior. Burial at IOOF Cemetery, New Haven, IN.
