

Born June 6, 1972, he emigrated from Vietnam to the United States in 1975 and attended school in Fort Wayne. He built his family over the course of 25 years with his wife, Phuong and his two sons, Dylan and Devin. Phong managed a local favorite restaurant, Takaoka of Japan making many friends and entertaining thousands up until his passing.
He is survived by his wife, Phuong and his two sons, Dylan and Devin through marriage, his father Long Huynh and mother, Jenny Nguyen. He is also survived by his sister Phuong, brother Luu and many others.
Besides spending time with his family, he had a passion for sports, the Los Angeles Lakers, card games, relaxing and vacationing with his many friends and family. Tony had a personality like no other, always the center of attention, he basked in every minute of it. He also had a heart of gold, welcoming everyone he met with open arms, friend or stranger. He touched so many lives with his love, wit and generosity. He was also pretty darn good poker player, attending events and making many lifelong friends.
Mass of Christian burial will occur Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 9:00 AM at St Patrick's Catholic Church, 2120 South Harrison Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46802, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, Monday, May 1, 2023, at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Phong’s memory may be made to Phuong’s Zelle account at 260-241-3701.
