Phyllis Eleanor Jordan

Phyllis E. Jordan, 80, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed peacefully on December 4, 2023, with family by her side. She was born in Bourbon, Indiana in March of 1943 to the late Floyd and Eleanor Shively. She was also preceded in death by her husband Larry in 2004 and has resided in Fort Wayne and Wolcottville, Indiana (Dallas Lake).

Phyllis was a wonderful mother of three sons, Todd (Molly), Tim (Mary) and Troy (Jenna), and grandmother to Nick, Emily (Zane), Eli, Isaac, Maggie, Spencer, Jada and Cleo. Phyllis was the loving sister of Dick, Barbara, Ann and Luce. Besides being an incredible homemaker, elementary school room mother and Cub Scout Den Leader, Phyllis also worked at the Allen County Election Board, Parkview Hospital (Randallia) and The Italian Connection, helping Alex make pasta.

Phyllis was an incredibly generous and loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, and was a friend to all she met. Phyllis loved watercolor painting, cooking, games of any kind, playing the piano and was an avid reader. Above all, Phyllis loved spending time with her family and friends, organizing holiday gatherings, birthday parties, reunions and finding any reason whatsoever to get everyone together. She will be dearly missed.

A celebration of life gathering is being planned for spring of next year.
