She graduated from Concordia High School in 1985 and earned her Bachelor’s from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in 1990. She was a member of Kappa Delta sorority.
She was a practicing CPA for many years before focusing on raising her children and owning an interior design business, PHab Design. Polly was an enthusiastic supporter for Indiana University and was the Chairwoman of the Parent Advisory Committee for Kelley School of Business. She was a member of Junior League of Fort Wayne and remembered for her “Polly’s Purses” accounting system. She was a woman of great faith and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Roanoke.
She was a loving wife, mother and soon-to-be grandmother, and used her passion for architecture and interiors to design the perfect family “dream” home.
Polly loved spending time with her family and her vast community of friends. She was outgoing, gregarious, and hospitable. Her generosity extended to nearly every philanthropic organization in Fort Wayne. Polly loved to travel with her family and friends, which included trips to Siesta Key, ski vacations, and getaway girls weekends. She loved the mountain life and ambience of the ski experience, and ensuring everyone was properly equipped and organized. She had a fervor for knitting with several simultaneous projects, such as personalized stockings and cable knit hats, and Polly adored socializing with her knitting group. She was an IU basketball fanatic, frequently coaching from the couch.
She will always be known for completing her outfit with the right purse and shoes. Polly will be truly missed by those who loved her.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Dr. Brett A. Hagedorn; sons, John Phillip “Jack” (Rachel) Hagedorn, Samuel Hagedorn; and daughter, Charlotte Hagedorn.
