Priscilla E. Jennings of Fort Wayne died on March 14, 2022 at age 100. Born in Bristol, RI, to Alberta Morgan and Christian August Ostby. An avid piano player, gardener, knitter, and baker, she was always upbeat and approached her life with eternal optimism. She spent many years selflessly caring for her grandchildren. She endeavored to be well-informed throughout her life and voted in every election.
Priscilla was a source of wisdom and love to her children, their partners, and the grand- and great-grandchildren whom she welcomed to the world with such joy. She will be remembered and missed by those fortunate to have been part of her life. A private graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 23, followed by an informal commemoration - for details reach out to her family.
She is survived by her children, John H. Jennings, Jr. (Carolyn) and Susan Dumire (James); grandchildren, Gabriel Jennings (Nicole Cavalier), Sierra Vogt (Tim), Oliver Dumire, and Alyssa Dumire (Zachariah Arnett); and great-grandchildren, Deacon and Veronica Vogt. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 61 years John “Jack” H. Jennings; brother Christian “Bill” Ostby, Jr., and by her faithful companion in later life, her rescue dog, Princess.
