Boyd graduated from Northrop High School and went on to earn his Associates from Indiana University.
He was a Processor at Lincoln Financial with 10 years of service. Prior to that, he worked in the dental field for over 20 years.
Boyd was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church.
He was an avid music fan, with KISS being his favorite group. He and his wife enjoyed attending many local music events and concerts. Boyd was also a talented musician and percussionist and was in the marching band during high school. He gave of his time, talents and passion in later years and was the percussionist instructor with Carroll High School Drumline. He was a Notre Dame football fan and enjoyed playing golf.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Kristine Carter, in-laws, Jeffery and Deborah Henschen, and brother-in-law, David Henschen, and stepfather, Dan Piersall. He was loved by many other cherished family and friends.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 am, Friday, May 16, 2025, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church 2305 Goshen Road, Fort Wayne, IN., with visitation one hour prior from 10:00 - 11:00 am. Visitation is also Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. at D.O. McComb and Sons, Maplewood Park - Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, IN. Memorials may be made to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church.
