Raymond D. "Ray" Celie

Raymond D. “Ray” Celie, 68, of Fort Wayne passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023. He was born on August 23, 1954 in Mishawaka, Indiana. Ray was a hard worker, working at a number of different jobs over the years. In his free time, he enjoyed baking and traveling. Family was very important to him and will be fondly remembered as Papa and running “Ray Care” for his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving family include his wife, Renee Celie; children, Heather (Marty) Davis and David (Rosie) Brockhaus; grandchildren, Sydney (Dylan) Aker, Dylan Brockhaus, and Dominic Brockhaus; great grandchildren, Mason and Rowan; and siblings, Mike Celie, Patti Meek, Jeff Celie, and Michelle Trail. He was preceded in passing by his parents, Raymond A. Celie, Sr. and Gloria (May) McLoughlin. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Humane Fort Wayne.
