Reagan C. Swinford, 17, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Lutheran Children's Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Reagan was a member of Sonrise at Aboite United Methodist Church. She attended Wayne New Tech High School and was active in the Olympic Committee, Canstruction, Women in Engineering Club, Key Club, Interact (Rotary), and New Tech Academy Culture Club. She was a member of the National Honor Society and she was 7th in her graduating class. She was also active in girls tennis, the marching band, and Blue Crew (Student section) with Wayne High School. She was passionate about cancer research and enjoyed her time at the lake. She was a devoted daughter, sister, and friend, she will be dearly missed. Surviving are her parents, Adam and Jessica Swinford of Fort Wayne; her sister, Peyton Mechelle Swinford of Fort Wayne; grandparents, Frank and Sandy Swinford of Fort Wayne; grandmother, Sherrie Lyman of Duncan, OK; grandfather, Paul Meyer of Angola, IN; many aunts, uncles, cousins; and an army of friends. Service is 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Sonrise at Aboite United Methodist Church, 10125 Illinois Road with calling from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm prior to the service.
