Richard Allen Faurote, 73, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at his home. Richard was born December 16, 1948 in Fort Wayne, son to the late James Andrew and Jean (Metz) Faurote. He was a graduate of Bishop Luers High School and serviced on the Fort Wayne Police Force from 1971 to 1996. After retirement he then worked for Community Corrections. Surviving are his wife, Sharon (Carey) Faurote of Fort Wayne; brothers-in-law, Mike (Jeanette) Carey and Steve (Annette) Carey; and sisters-in-law, Theresa (Mike) Clausen, Anita (Mark) Edwards, and Annette Carey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Becky Johnson. Visitation for Richard will be held Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46819.
