Richard Alfred Moon

Dick loved fishing and watching his grandkids playing sports. He enjoyed being outside and tinkering around the house. He was a Chicago Cubs and Indianapolis Colts fan. Dick truly enjoyed his time in Florida and being in the sunshine.

He was very proud Army Veteran and member of the 101st Airborne. He also was a proud member of Fort Wayne Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union 166, for 71 years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Moon; daughters, Candy (Harold “Hal” D. Jr.) Bauer, Cathy (Ken) Wiseman; siblings, Carol Jean (Keith) Hardin, Bette Jo Jarvis, Judy (Joe) Spring, grandchildren, Jessica Bauer, Kyle Bauer, Megan Wiseman, Carisa (Jared) Turpen,great-grandchildren, Madison Turpen, Alivia (Livi) Turpen, Uriah Turpen, Simeon Turpen and Emma Turpen; many nieces and nephews.

Dick was preceded by a brother, Larry Hartman; brother-in-law, Mark Jarvis; sister-in-law, Marsha Hartman.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm, at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Pine Valley, 1320 E Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46825.
