Richard Roy White, 87, of Bradenton, FL. and Fort Wayne, IN, passed away on January 10, 2026. He was born to the late Richard G. and Helen (Moran) White on December 24, 1938.
Richard loved the Florida sunshine, loved to read and watch old black and white movies, along with his westerns. He also enjoyed meeting his friends for an afternoon cocktail and catching up on local gossip.
Dick liked to cook and he would make Carol’s famous chocolate chip cookies. Richard was loved by many, and he never met a stranger. He was always smiling and had a great sense of humor, but you had to know him to appreciate it. He had a huge heart and would help anyone who asked, and if someone did not ask, he would offer. He was a private man and very honest and trustworthy.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Carol, of 55 years; daughter, Kimberly Kay White; sister, Patricia (White) Simmons; and brothers-in-law, Robert Nestor and Pete Simmons.
Richard is survived by his children, Rick (Shawn) and Rodney White; sisters, Pam (Michael) Arend of Paulding, OH and sister Sharon Nestor of Wakeman, OH; cousin, John Moran; grandchildren, Brianna, Corbin, Hunter James, Natasha, Travis, Nanette and Kyle; great granddaughter, Ellie; brother- in-law, Mike (Dawn) Carper; and multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family is deeply grateful for the loving care that Richard received over the years from his much-loved granddaughter, Brianna, and his friend and brother-in-law, Mike Carper
