Roger R. Franklin, 62, of Fort Wayne, went home to be with the Lord encircled by friends and family on Wednesday, December 10, 2014. He was born on August 27, 1952 to the late Ralph and Dorothy (Neely) Franklin. He worked for Freuhauf and Midwest Veterinary Supply. He enjoyed car shows, hot rods, aviation, and music. Surviving family include his wife, Jane Franklin; daughter, Hollie Ellenberger; grandchildren, Chelsie, Alyssa, Abigail; great grandson, Aiden; and siblings, Bonnie Fischer, Barbara Axson, Rolland “Butch” Franklin, and Raymond Franklin. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his siblings, Beverly Ott and Barry Franklin. A funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 4-8 pm on Friday, December 12, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Living Faith Missionary Church or the family.
