Our prayers are with the Straessle Family during this difficult time.
Coach Straessle was a great father, teacher and coach.
He worked us hard, coached us hard, which resulted in alot of great victories for the St. Charles Cardinals. The BIG HUG he gave me after winning the '79 Holiday Tourney will always be one of my most cherished memories!!! Thank you Coach Straessle!
You will be missed.
With deepest sympathy for the loss of your father, may you all find peace and comfort in the Lord!

So many great memories of Mr Straessle for as long as I can recall so it is indeed sad to learn of his passing. My sincerest condolences to Mrs Straessle and the family. Watching the video brought back many memories particularly of visits to the lake and also a bit of CYO basketball.

Whenever we visited my sister Pam and brother-in-law Jeff, included in our visit was always time to stop by and see Bonnie & Ron. Two wonderful people we thoroughly enjoyed visiting and they treated us in such a way that made us feel like close family. Ron was kind and generous and full of joy. He always had a story and could talk on any subject matter. Although we only saw Ron once or twice a year, we will miss him. It was almost like a little tradition to go out to breakfast the day we would leave. Good people like the Straessle's are hard to find in today's world. which is a better place because of Ron. With all those descendants his virtues will definitely carry on for decades.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family.

Coming from a very small family, I expected to be overwhelmed by the Straessles. Not so. As a plus one for Greg, I was welcomed by the whole group - that's a lot of welcomes!
I loved going to the lake cottage and learning about family joys and commitment, lessons I've taken into my present-day life.
Old-style Christmas letters have kept me in touch with Bonnie and Ron; I'll miss reading about Ron's life as we go on.
As is written on an Irish tombstone, "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; Love leaves a memory no one can steal." Memories of Ron will last a long, long time.

I miss you already Ron, my diner will never be the same without you! You will be missed by many. Everyone always enjoyed talking to you and always asked about you when they did not see you!!!

It was such a honor to be able to see you almost everyday for the last several years! I know you will be looking down after us all.
