ROSE MARIE (ROZNOWSKI) HENSLEY, 73, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. She was a daughter of the late Edwin and Irene (nee. Macijewski) Roznowski born on October 25, 1949 in Bay City, Michigan. Graduated St. Stanislaus High School, Bay City, Michigan. 1967, was a cheerleader, class secretary, homecoming queen, National Honor Society, Saginaw Valley State University, B.A. in Elementary Education, 1971; Central Michigan University, M.A. Elementary Education, 1977. She taught 5th grade at Hampton Elementary School, 1971-1974, and Immanuel Christian School, 1983-1992. Served 20 years as President/Membership Director of Blackhawk Neighborhood Association, served 22 years as judge for Midwest Regional Spelling Bee, Association of Christian Schools International. Leader, five years, Pioneer Girls. A world traveler to 23 countries including missionary work in Beijing, China. Member of Wallen Baptist Church/Headwaters Church, 1990 --. She was active six years in Bible Study Fellowship, served 2,500 volunteer hours as docent, teacher, and guide at Science Central. In 1972, married Dr. Dennis E. Hensley.; also surviving are her son, Nathan E. Hensley (wife, Alice); and daughter, Jeanette M. (Hensley) Sagarsee (husband, Kyle); grandchildren, Grace Hensley, Lillian Hensley, Kate Sagarsee and Jack Sagarsee. Funeral Service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Headwaters Church, 2000 N. Wells St., (46808), with visitation one hour prior to service. Visitation also from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2023, at the church. Preferred Memorials to Science Central.
