

Rotaynda Ramona King was born February the 2, 1974 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was the second born child of Rita M. Chambers and Marlin R. Kelly. On January the 6, 2026, God called his one-of-a-kind, precious gem home to be with Him!
Rotaynda accepted Christ and was baptized at the age of 12 at True Love Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana under the leadership of the late Bishop Jesse White. Rotaynda was a prayer warrior, she was a woman of deeply rooted faith, whose generosity and radiant smile reflected the love of Christ. Her life was a living testament to the scripture, “Let your light so shine before men” (Matthew 5:16), she truly illuminated the lives of all who knew her. Her spirit of giving and grace will live on eternally. Her faith produced miracles in her life and the lives of those she loved. She married her best friend Ronald K. King on May 17, 1997. She adored, admired and truly loved her husband! She displayed unconditional love for her siblings, family and friends with all her heart. Her beauty goes far beyond appearance, it’s a reflection of her caring heart and courageousness! Her inner light commanded attention when she entered a room.
Rotaynda exemplified resilience, power, and compassion. She graduated from R. Nelson Snider in 1992 and earned an Associate Degree in Human Services from Ivy Tech in 2003. By 2006, she became a licensed real estate agent and owned Exquisitely Yours boutique for many years. In 2011, she published "Sassy: An Enchanting Collection of Poems and Quotes”. She created a motivational Christian website and gained experience in account brokerage and financial investments.
She is predeceased in death by her parents, Rita M. Chambers and Marlin R. Kelly, and her brother, Keith Brooks.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald K. King of Avon, IN; our pops, Rev. Aston R. Chambers, Jr. of Muncie, IN, and two sisters, Rolanda (Johney) Presswood of Tampa, FL, and Nicole Jefferson-Robinson of Indianapolis, IN. She also leaves behind three brothers, Charles R. Phillips and Foundation One, both of Fort Wayne, IN, and Roy Kelly of Indianapolis, IN. In addition, she is survived by three sisters-in-law, Linda (Sylvester) King-Frink of Fort Wayne, IN, Patricia Gail (John) Seldon of Red Banks, MS, and Michelle (Doug) Hinkle of Holly Springs, MS, and one brother-in-law, James (Janice) Hardaway of Red Banks, MS; her godmother, Claudette Pass of Memphis, TN; her godsister, Jessica Parks of Guntown, MS, and her godbrother, Jonathan Blake of Los Angeles, CA. She will be fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and other family members and friends.
"Tonda" maintained an unwavering sisterhood with Gwenetta Lews-Jett, spanning over 40 years, who was both her best friend and confidante. She also enjoyed a meaningful and supportive relationship with her godsister, Jessica Parks and godbrother, Jonathan Blake.

A visitation will be held at Kingdom Door Christian Worship, 1004 E. Pontiac St., Fort Wayne, IN 46803, on January 24, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. A Life Celebration Service will follow beginning at 12:00 pm. Rotaynda will be laid to rest in Lindenwood Cemetery.
