Jayne and Bill were parents to six sons. It was Jayne and Bill’s wish that their children were raised in spiritually and socially conscious environment. They converted to Catholicism prior to the birth of their first child. They boys were subsequently raised in the Faith, and that remained the guiding force for all the years of her life. She and Bill devoted the formative years of their sons to showing a fine example of what it means to be Christian and lead a productive life. When her sons married and had families of their own, she provided a path to a spiritual life for her grandchildren as well. She was active in her church for 60+ years until her health began to decline. Jayne prayed for everyone she knew, and or people she had never met.
She is survived by her sons, Stephen (Beth), Scott (Tina), Michael (Debbie), Matthew, Andrew (Tonya), Anthony (Tami); brother, Robert “Bob” (Doris) Benhower; niece, Susan (Josh) Detwiler; grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill, and nephew Frank Benhower.
Her memory and legacy live on in the hearts of her family and a multitude of friends.
Rest in Peace Mamma Jayne. May the Lord watch over you and keep you.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
