Ruby Lorene “Dottie” Williams, 76, of Fort Wayne, died on Thursday, Nov. 15th, at VNHH as a result of liver disease. Born March 29, 1936, in St. Louis, MO., she was the daughter of Charles and Clara Hunter. She married Charles Williams on October 21, 1958. Ruby was the quintessential house wife, always providing delicious meals for her family and a beautiful home. She was very creative when it came to sewing and crafting— making gifts to give to a friend or a stranger was a constant. She was an energetic and competitive Uno player, she was undefeated at Pick-Up Sticks, and relished watching her favorite shows “Pawn Stars” and “American Pickers”. She loved to read virtuous stories and often shared them with whomever she met. Her heart was it’s biggest for her husband, children and grand children-- nothing made her happier than to be surrounded by them. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Charles Williams. She is survived by her five children, Nancy (David) Wines, Karen (Andy) Beckmann, Chuck Williams, Denise (Kirt) Daenens, and Jen (Chris) Shank; and grandchildren, Ed, Ben, Aleena, Kerisa, Keenan, Cesi, Rylan, Oliver, Gabriel and Charlie; and great grandchild Evan. Funeral Service will be held at Promise Lutheran Church 7323 Schwartz Road, Fort Wayne, IN, at 6pm Friday, November 16th, 2012. Burial is 10 am on Monday November 19th at Marion National Cemetery.
