Dr. Rudrappa Gangadhar passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on November 4, 2024. Born in Bangalore, India, on April 8, 1945, Rudrappa came to the US after graduating from Bangalore Medical College. He completed his residency in pathology in South Bend, Indiana, his fellowship in Houston, Texas, and went on to practice at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Rudrappa, known to many as Rudy, Ganga, or Dr. G, enjoyed many interests, including gardening, volunteering, playing tennis, traveling, and most importantly, spending quality time with his family. His love for his family was profound and reflected in every aspect of his life.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Meera Gangadhar, to whom he was married for 51 years; children, Tara (Mark) Mitchell, Nidhi (Frank) Ruy, and Shiva (Sarah) Gangadhar; and grandchildren, Hera, Luca, Aurora, Bianca, and Leela.
A Funeral Service to honor Rudrappa's life is 12:00 PM Saturday, November 9, 2024 at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Covington Knolls, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior. Interment at Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be directed to Canterbury School, an institution he cared deeply about and where all 3 of his children attended school. Rudrappa's legacy will live on through his family and many friends who he cherished throughout his life.
