Ruth E. Bellis

Ruth Elenor (McBride) Bellis, Age 92, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, New Haven and Angola passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024. She was born October 1, 1932 to the late Clinton Sylvester and Emma Myrtle McBride.

She received her GED as an adult, completed several journeyman classes, and Rhema Bible training classes. She started her work career at Western Auto's warehouse, retired from Lincoln Life, held a warehouse fulfilment position with 80/20, then retired from the YMCA. Ruth loved bowling, golfing, fishing, camping and playing cards. She enjoyed interacting and playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ruth is survived by her son, Steven R. (Vertus) Bellis; daughter, Rosalie A. (Charles) Ercolino; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her mother and father, Emma Myrtle and Sylvester Clinton McBride, ex-husband Norbert George Bellis, brother Leroy McBride, sister Dorothy Marie Gustin, daughter-in-law Emerita Bellis, grandson Renato Capus Paoli and four nieces; Katy Molargik, Maxine Lawson, Sharon Sue Short, Betty Osmun and one great niece Cherrie Marie Stiles.

Graveside services will be at 2 pm, Monday, November 11, 2024 at Covington Memorial Gardens, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN in the Last Supper section.
