Ruth Mildred Hartman, 90, passed away Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013 at Kingston at DuPont Memory Care Center. She was born on July 5, 1923 a daughter of Leonard and Gertrude (Ludwick) Stolte. She retired from Phelps Dodge and Verizon. She was a member of Nine Mile United Methodist Church. She enjoyed needlework and volunteering at the Community Harvest Food Bank for many years. She is survived by her son, Jerry (Deb) Hartman of Yoder; daughter, Linda Fagen of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and sister-in-laws, Audrey (Travis) Willett and Martha Stolte. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Clarence Hartman; brothers, John, Herbert, Al, Eugene, and Donald Stolte; and sisters, Marie Bufink and Elizabeth Egly. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, 2013 at Nine Mile Methodist Church, 6303 Winters Road, Fort Wayne with visitation 30 minutes prior. Visitation also from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Rd, Fort Wayne. Burial will be in the Nine Mile United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Nine Mile United Methodist Church or Heartland Hospice.
