

Sharon Faye Reeder was 63 years of age when she passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024 at home with her husband and son at her side. At 5:00 am the heavens shined, and the darkness of the night became day for just an instant. She was a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana and daughter of the late June and Elizabeth "Babe" McCampbell (Suttle).
She was a 1979 graduate of Concordia Lutheran High School. An extremely intelligent, motivated, and driven woman, she later received her associate degree from Stone Business School in New Haven, Connecticut after marrying her high school sweetheart. Many knew Sharon as “Peg” whom her husband affectionately called her. She worked many years as a driver for CTN and Lutheran Life Villages transport. She also worked as a secretary for Broadview Lumber and Crossroads Behavioral Health. Peg was a kind hearted soul that dedicated her life to helping and caring for others.
In her husbands' words, she was perfect. She was devoted to her family. A devoted caregiver to her mother with unwavering compassion for her care. She was a loving wife, mother, and child of truth who will be dearly missed. She had a smile and unmistakable laugh that was contagious.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Reeder Sr; sons, Nicholas (Shuwanna) Reeder, and Larry (Toshia) Reeder II; daughter, Destiny Reeder; brothers, Michael (Tracy) McCampbell and Geerel Knight; 6 grandchildren whom she adored, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She had many supportive family members and friends in the community.
Sharon was also preceded in death by a brother, Gregory McCampbell and stepfather, John Knight.
A Visitation for Sharon will be Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Lakeside Park, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46805.
Sharon will be laid to rest in Concordia Lutheran Cemetery, 1801 Maumee Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46803.
