

Sherman "Butch" Love, 65, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018 in Fort Wayne. Born in Bryan, OH, Butch worked as a Journeyman Maintenance Man with Sheller Globe for 28 years. He then worked for Vee Engineering until his retirement. He was former co-owner of Final Score and enjoyed collecting Hopalong Cassidy memorabilia and sports cards. Butch loved fishing and coaching PAL and St. Joe Little League. His joy was being involved and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Kathryn Love of Fort Wayne; children, Nate (Charrie Seiferman) Love of Fort Wayne, Regina (Jason Lowry) Rivas, Shari (Jon Jackson) Love, Michael French, all of Fort Wayne, and Luis Rivas (Jhoselin) of Venezuela; sisters, Marian (John) Moore of Columbia City, IN, Henny (Fred) Tatum of KY, Shirley Mahathy, Becky (Wayne) Ladd, and Rosie (Dale) Ray all of Fort Wayne; beloved brother and sister-in-law, George (Louise) Bopp; 7 amazing grandchildren, Christine, Brody, Luigi, Cadynce, Rolando, Davinny, and Zayden; 6 step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Butch was preceded in death by mother-in-law Eva Alday; grandson, Cecilio Rivas; father, Ottus Abraham Love; mother, Catherine I. Payne; sister, Luci Webb; brother, Buck Love; and two brother-in-laws, Don Mahathy and Robert Webb. Service is 10:30 am, Thursday, May 31, 2018 at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road with an hour of calling prior to the service. Calling at D. O.
