Shirley Lee (Birchfield) Dale 78 of Ft. Wayne, In. passed away January 6th. Shirley was born Nov. 29, 1935 in Pleasant Township in Steuben County, IN and grew up in Freemont Indiana. During her lifetime Shirley lived with her husband in North Carolina, Kinderhook Michigan and Fort Wayne, Indiana. Loved by her children, grandchildren, extended family and friends Shirley will be missed.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Frederick Dale in 2008 and daughter Sherry Jo Dale Brewis in 2000. Surviving are her Son Jeffery L. Dale of Auburn, IN, daughter Lisa Heral of Ft Wayne, IN, five grandchildren-Jonas L. Brewis, Jeffery A. Dale, Tanner J. Heral, Alan P. Vandenbosch and Justin D. Heral and one great-grandchild Landon A. Dale. A private service will be held for the immediate family. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations in honor of Shirley L. Dale be made to the Fibrous Dysplasia Foundation, 15 Browns Ct. SE, Washington, DC 20003.
