Sonia Renee Harrison

Sonia Renee Balogh Harrison, 41, of Fort Wayne, passed away at 11:46 pm, April 26, 2022 at Lutheran Hospital. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN on August 15, 1980 to Frank Balogh and Georganna West Balogh. Sonia was an early graduate of R. Nelson Snider High School graduating January of 1999. After graduating high school she went to school to become a paramedic. She was also an army veteran. She was very generous, loved helping those in need, and she provided the gift of life by being an organ donor. She was an avid animal lover, especially her ferrets. She enjoyed watching documentaries and medical videos, and playing HayDay on her phone. Sonia is survived by her mother: Georganna Balogh, daughter: Jade Balogh, maternal grandmother: Barbara Jean Staller, uncles: Buck West (Sharon), Mel West (Cheryl), Raymond Balogh (Sharon), Raymond (Buddy) Balogh, Gary Balogh (Jeanne), Ricky Balogh (Terye), aunts: Jennie Sevits (Mike), Wendy Kurtz (Lloyd), Patty Balogh and various cousins. She was preceded in death by her father: Frank Balogh, paternal grandparents: Raymond L. Balogh and Grace Wozniak Balogh, maternal grandfather: William “Bill” West, uncles: Edgar West and Richard Kurtz. Visitation is from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at C. M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home 1327 N. Wells St. Fort Wayne, IN 46808. A funeral service is scheduled for 11 am Thursday, May 5, 2022, with calling one hour prior to the service at Parkwood Church of God 3320 Trier Rd. Fort Wayne, IN 46815. The family requests friends and family not to wear perfume or cologne due to allergies. Masks are optional. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Grace House.
