Sonja Rose Bonner, 47, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, born on July 24, 1975, passed away on Friday March 31, 2023, following an extended illness.
Sonja is survived by husband, Ronald Coakley Jr; daughters: Alexis (Justin) Murray and Alyssa Bonner; sons: Ronald Coakley III and Jayden Busche; mother and adoptive father: Rita and Thomas Hendrickson; biological father, Thomas Wendling; siblings: Amy Kilty, Shawn (Destiny), Reba, Monaca (David) Parrot, Wedge, Betti, and LeeAnn Hendrickson. Sonja is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandma and grandpa Klein; and her fur baby, Sadie.
Sonja enjoyed arts and crafts. She loved the ocean and often enjoyed vacationing at Myrtle Beach. Sonja loved her pets: Smoak and Peyton. She was a true North Carolina Panthers fan.
Funeral services, officiated by Bishop George McCowan, will be held on Friday April 7, 2023 at 12:00pm, with visitation one hour prior at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services – Mungovan, 2114 S. Calhoun Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46802.
