Stanley Robert Coffey

Stanley Robert Coffey, a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was 70 years of age when he passed from this life unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, in Fort Wayne. He had a huge, embracing personality and was known fondly as "Stan". He knew no strangers and enjoyed the outdoors. Stan was a NASCAR fan, avid fisherman, and hunter that also loved ice fishing, and barbequing. In his spare time, he enjoyed tinkering and building things. He retired as an auto mechanic in 2016 and worked part-time at Wal-Mart South. Stan leaves to cherish many memories his loving wife of 37 years, Josephine “Josie” Coffey; four daughters, Gretchen (Tyler) Ottinger, Amanda Casto, Angela Flye and Shelly Moreno; mother, Imogene Coffey; a brother, James (Georgean) Coffey; 12 grandchildren, Madison, Sophie, Amelia, Isabelle, Matthew, Cassie, Wyatt, Anisha, Kayla, Monique, Justin and Michael; four great-grandchildren, Lena, Aviana, Adrianna and Dahlia; and a host of other relatives and friends. Stan was preceded in death by his father, Robert Coffey. A memorial visitation for Stanley will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at D.O.
