Stanley J. Podzielinski, 93, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 20, 2019, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born in Utica, NY to the late Adolph and Aniela Podzielinski. He married Eugenia A. Scatko on April 24, 1954 and she survives having enjoyed 65 years of marriage. He served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corp during the invasion of Japan. Earning his degree from the Univ. of Washington, he later pursued his Master’s Degree at Boston Univ. He worked at General Electric Co. as a manager in human resources for 29 years. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and was the president of the Polish National Alliance, White Eagle Lodge for 20 years. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, worldly travel, family gatherings, and promoting his passion of Polish culture. Stanley had a keen mechanical ability which gravitated into the lives of his children. As Chairman of Plock, Poland Subcommittee, Fort Wayne Sister City, he significantly enhanced the friendships and exchanges between the cities resulting in his recognition as Honorary Citizen of Plock, Poland in 2007. He is survived by sons, Craig (Margie), Eric (Ronda), Scott (Kit), Brett, John (Dr. Iwona), and Mark; daughters, Jill Crump and Lynn Colchin; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and brother Leonard (Shirley). He is preceded in death by his sister Alice Robak. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 am Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with calling at 10 am.
