Steven Mahoney, 61, of Fort Wayne passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021. He was born on October 10, 1959 in Fort Wayne, a son of the late Harrison Jesse and Betty Jane (Rentschler) Mahoney. He greatly enjoyed vacationing, especially to Florida. He was an avid sports fan, particularly the Fort Wayne Komets.He will also be remembered for his big smile and, even though disabled from birth, his love of life. Surviving family include his brothers, Mike and Dennis (Sheryl) “Butch” Mahoney; 10 nieces and nephews; and many great nieces, nephews, and cousins. Masks have been requested to be worn for all services. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at C.M. Sloan and Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St., Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 16, 2021 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to Benchmark Human Services or Turnstone.
