Terence Carnell Woods

Terence “Terry” C. Woods was born June 23, 1964, in Centreville, Alabama to Otha Owens and Dorothy Jean Woods. He departed this life at the age of 61 on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at home with his family.

At an early age, Terry accepted Christ as his personal Savior at Tabernacle Baptist Church. Terry sang in the Tabernacle Baptist Church Male Choir and United Male Chorus for many years.

He was a 1981 graduate of Northrop High School. He later enlisted in the United States Army Reserves, serving his country for six years. Terry would later gain employment with Peg-Perego where he worked for many years.

Terry leaves to cherish his memory; his wife, April Woods and two beautiful daughters, TeAria and Asia Woods all of Fort Wayne, IN; brother, Rodney Woods of Fort Wayne, IN; bonus-dad, Verter Stanley of Fort Wayne, IN; a special sister, Cindy King-Smith (Roger); six amazing grandchildren, Elijah Glaspy, JaQuell Ganaway-Woods, Brooklyn Glaspy, JaNyia Ganaway-Woods, Levi Guinn and JaNayla Ganaway- Woods; two nieces, Latisha Sinclair, and Constance Edgell; two nephews, Marqus Sinclair, and Bryson Matthews along with a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and numerous close and special friends.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Jean Woods and Otha Owens; two brothers, Reginald and Antoine Woods; Aunt Glenda Lampkin; a granddaughter, A’Blessing Woods and his grandparents.

A visitation will be held at Tabernacle Baptist Church, located at 3404 Chestnut Street, Fort Wayne, IN, 46803, on February 21, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. Homegoing Celebration will follow at 11:30 am.

Terry will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Memorial Park, following the service.
