Terri was born on February 4, 1955, to Leota Hackney and William Smith. She grew up surrounded by family and carried the values of kindness, loyalty, and compassion with her throughout her life.
Terri was the beloved wife of Richard Brown, the love of her life, whom she dearly missed. Their marriage was a beautiful example of devotion and partnership, and her love for him remained steadfast always.
She was a devoted mother to her daughters and sons-in-law, Amber and Rob Schleinkofer and Bethany and Mike Crowe, and the proud grandmother of Gretchen, Chloe, Piper, Mackenzie, Aidan, and Corley. Nothing brought Terri more joy than time spent with her grandchildren and her cherished “grand-dogs.” Her family was her greatest treasure, and she poured her heart into each of them.
Terri is also survived by her siblings: Allen, Janet, Cindy, Carle, and Laura, along with extended family and dear friends who will deeply miss her presence.
Terri worked at Superior Essex for over 30 years, where she built lasting friendships and was known for her strong work ethic and warm spirit.
She was incredibly creative and loved all things DIY. Whether crafting, decorating, or tackling a new project, Terri found joy in creating beauty with her hands. She also loved traveling with friends, making memories filled with laughter and adventure. She had a gift for making people feel welcome, valued, and loved. Kind, thoughtful, compassionate, and always ready with a laugh, Terri had a way of lighting up a room and lifting the hearts of those around her.
A memorial service will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home on Friday 20, 2026 at 2 p.m. Visitation will be from 12pm to 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sansum Diabetes Research Institute in her honor.
Terri’s legacy lives through the love she gave, the family she nurtured, and the countless lives she touched with her sweet spirit. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
