Timothy Scott “Tim” Horstmeyer, 72, of Fort Wayne, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021. Born on August 27, 1949 in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Robert W. and Diana (Scott) Horstmeyer. He was a 1968 graduate of Central High School. Tim attended Waynedale United Methodist Church. In his free time, he enjoyed bowling, working with his plants, especially roses, and watching IU Basketball. His biggest joy of all though was spending time with his grandchildren. Tim is survived by his wife, Gloria Horstmeyer; daughters, Gwen (Shayne) Roberts, and Taryn (fiancés-Akoni Harris) Horstmeyer; grandchildren, Mitchell, Katy, Jacob; sister-in-law, Judy Wright; and many cousins. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his sister, Cynthia Horstmeyer. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior with Pastor William R. Garver officiating. Visitation will also be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 11, 2021. Mask will be required for those attending all services. Entombment will be at Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to the IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center for Miles for Myeloma.
