Vel married Glen E. Faxon August 3, 1952 who preceded her in death November 23, 2016. They shared 64 years of marriage together. Glen & Vel attended Lifebridge Church in Fort Wayne. She was a homemaker, loving wife, and mother of three children and a grandmother to five grandchildren. Surviving are sons, Gary (Mary) Faxon of Springfield, IL; Mark Faxon of Fort Wayne IN; daughter, Lisa (Dennis) Volkert of Fort Wayne, IN; grandchildren, Emily Faxon (Bryce) Sablotny; Ben (Megan Lewis) Faxon; Ryan (Cierra) Volkert; Kristoffer (Annie Trittipo) Volkert; Kelsey Volkert.
Funeral will be a Private family service.
