Ward Allen Craft, 81, of Fort Wayne, surrounded by his loving family, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2018. Ward, the 5th of 11 siblings, was born and raised in Hindman, Ky., to the late Mayo and Virgie Craft. In Ward’s 50-year career in production management, he served with excellence at International Harvester and Magnavox/Raytheon. In his retirement years, he played and worked at Cherry Hill Golf Course. In the weeks and days preceding his home-going, Ward was surrounded by the most heavenly care from Heritage Pointe of Fort Wayne and Premier Hospice. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Pauline Craft; his daughter, Teresa (William) Ellis of Pittsburgh, PA.; and son, Greg (Barb) Craft of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren, Angela (Tom), Bethany (Matt), Courtney (Wes), Kristin (Doug), Matt, and Lauren; and four great-grandchildren, Simone, Vivien, Peter, and Luke, who were his pride and joy; his loving step-mother, Alma; and his brothers and sisters, Claude, Aileen, Ann, Pam, Nelson, Dean, and Patsy. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Arlie, Charles, and Mike. Memorial Service will be 1:00pm on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Rev. Ron Hawkins, of Fort Wayne First Assembly, is officiating. Celebrate Ward’s life with his family from 4-7pm on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at the funeral home.
