Wayne “Charlie” Huss, 87, of Fort Wayne passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015. He was born on April 8, 1928 to the late Russell and Blanche (Esterline) Huss. He retired from Earth Construction as a heavy equipment operator. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed camping, fishing, animals, and being outdoors. He will be remembered as a Mr. Fix-it and going to the Eagles 248 as well as the Baer Field Horseman’s Association. Surviving family include his wife, Marilyn Huss; daughters, Cindy Huss, and Debra (David) Henry; grandchildren, Chelsea (Nick) Crim and Sam Henry; and a great grandson, Hunter. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his aunt and uncle, Elsie (Ralph) Kreigh. Funeral service will be 1:30 pm on Friday, July 24, 2015 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 2-4 and 6-8 on Thursday, July 23, 2015. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to the family or Eagles 248.
