Wilda M. Quandt, 86, of Fort Wayne, passed away, Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Coventry Meadows Nursing Home. She was born to the late Robert Joseph and Maude (Cowan) Donohue in Pomona, MO, on December 20, 1934.
Wilda graduated from Central High School in 1952. On October 25, 1952, she married the late Donald R. Quandt, and together raised two children, Tim and Kathy.
Mrs. Quandt worked for Sears in Fort Wayne. Wilda was a member of Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fort Wayne. She loved reading and going to lunch with the Central High School ‘Lunch Club’.
She is survived by her children, Tim (Chris) Quandt and Kathy (Samuel) Bertsch; grandchildren, Robert J., Paul S., Phillip D., Jessica A., and Marissa L.; and great-grandchildren, Ryan, Lauren, Anthony, Grant, Hailey, Payton, Ella, Lilly, and Juliana. Wilda was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Donohue.
Funeral service will be Monday, October 4, 2021 at 11 AM at D.O. McComb and Son’s Funeral Homes – Covington Knolls Chapel, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46804. There will be calling on Sunday, October 3, 2021 from 2 PM to 6 PM at the funeral home, and one hour before the service on Monday.
Preferred memorials may be directed to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
