

WILLIAM RUSSELL DULY SR., of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2013, at Cov ington Manor Nursing Home. Born Sept. 20, 1934, in Milwaukee, Wis., he was a son of the late Russell Edward Duly and Lucile Fae Flohr Duly. Bill graduated from Central High School in 1952. He was a four year veteran of the Korea War reaching petty officer first class. He is survived by his wife, Carol; sons, William Russell Duly Jr. and James Mitchell (Anusha) Duly; brother, Dennis (Diane) Duly; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother, Rodney Duly Sr.; and sister, Jackie Hagadorn. He was commander of Post 857 V.F.W. from 1964 to 1998. He was commander three times continuous since 1958. Lifetime 1963. Pup tent four, military order of cootie. He was Director of Pinnacle Credit Union for 33 years. He was chairman of the former Allen County Postal Credit Union for 30 years. He retired after 37 years of service as an area manager for the U.S. Postal Service in charge of vehicle training and accident investigation and station manager at Northwood, Hazelwood, Diplomat, and St. Mary's Stations. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Friday at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, with visitation on hour prior to service. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at C.M.
