William Larry Russell

Bill received his degree in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University. He went on to start his own insurance agency and later worked for various firms within the insurance industry. He finished his career with MetLife Inc and spent the early part of his retirement as a part-time realtor.

In his early years, Bill was known for his love of sailing and traveling around the country with his family. More recently, he enjoyed gardening, golf, and most of all spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He could always be found at their various musical performances and sporting events.

He is survived by his daughter, Melodie Goetz of Fort Wayne, IN, daughter in law, Courtney Russell of Fort Wayne, IN; brother, Gary Russell of Columbiana, OH; sister, Patricia Russell of Salem, OH; grandchildren, Tyler Goetz, Connor Goetz, Kylie Goetz, Maryn Russell, grand daughter in-law, Ashley Goetz, great grandchildren, Willow and Zayr Goetz.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lee Russell, son Christopher William Russell.

Celebration of Life will be at 12:00 pm on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025 at St. Joe United Methodist Church, 6004 Reed Road Fort Wayne, IN. Private Interment at Concordia Gardens Cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN. Memorial Contributions may be directed to Parkview Hospice. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared below for the Russell family.
