Alleyne was a graduate of Dunbar High School, Harris Hospital School of Nursing and John Peter Smith School of Nursing. She was a kind, compassionate caregiver for over 30 years, inspiring others to pursue the ministry of nursing. Before retiring, Alleyne was a nursing educator at Tarrant County College for over 10 years. She was a charter member of The Church of Philadelphia under the ministry of the late Rev. Gregory Spencer and a faithful member of The New Breed Christian Center under the ministry of Pastor Darrell Blair.
Survivors: Her loving and dedicated son, Arthur Lowe; sister, Lillie Biggins-Russell (James); brother, Anthony Dukes (Regina); and a very larger family of cousins, nieces and nephews.
